    Delegation from Sendai, Japan visited CDRI

    work together for the continuation of friendship and tourism

      Chairman Tain-Tsai Hsu of Commerce Development Research Institute received a delegation from Sendai City with ten persons including deputy mayor Fujimoto of Sendai, the president Saito of the Sendai City Council, former president and current councillor Nishizawa on Saturday 17th.  The delegation of Sendai City participated in the "2018 Tainan International Travel Exhibition". Before returning to Japan, the delegation made the visitation with chairman Hsu, who had known each other for 12 years. The two sides also promised to jointly promote the tourism industry and mutual investment between Sendai City and Taiwan.

      Chairman Hsu said that when he was the mayor of Tainan City, he actively promoted the exchanges between Sendai and Tainan as sister cities. In the past 12 years, tourists have been growing steadily. Taiwanese are now taking the first place of the tourists in Sendai, which is a preferred city for Taiwanese tourists to travel to the northeast of Japan. 

      The deputy mayor Fujimoto of Sendai led the delegation to Taiwan for the "2018 Tainan International Travel Exhibition" and arranged the visitation to CDRI, taking director Amano of the Cultural Tourism Bureau, director Yokota of the Exchange Planning Division and several members of B&B Association. During the meeting, they also exchanged opinions on how to attract more Japanese tourists to Taiwan. The deputy mayor Fujimoto believes that Taiwan has beautiful scenery and friendly people and can develop more attractions with local cultural characteristics of each county and city.
