    Southbound International Forum for Smart Marketing of SMEs

      Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, MOEA held a series of activities under the theme of “Southbound Expansion and Smart Marketing” on 19th and 20th November, from the ASEAN market analysis, cross-border e-commerce, to technology promotion and other aspects, match meeting will also be held to enable SMEs to acquire more investment and business opportunities.

      According to the Economist, the 10 ASEAN countries are expected to become the world's fourth-largest economy by 2030, while India, is expected to reach 37.2% of the middle class by 2025. It is foreseeable that the consumer market in the Southeast Asian market is on the rise. According to statistics, the square measure of 10 ASEAN countries (including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, etc.) are only 1% of the world's total, but the population accounts for 7% to 8% of the world. In the past 50 years since the establishment of ASEAN, the real GDP is three times higher than the global average, and its economic activity is 3-4 times of the world average. 

      There are five series of the activities, namely, "SMEs International Summit Forum", " International Forum of Innovative Technology and Overseas Marketing ", "International Forum on Cross-border E-Commerce Distribution", "Southbound Expert Meeting", and "Cross-border Business Consulting Match Meeting”. Ambassadors from three countries, including DIDI SUMEDI, representative of the Indonesian Economic and Trade Representative Office in Taipei, SAUDAH MAT ISA, Director of the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Center, and THONGCHAI CHASAWATH, representative of Thailand trade and economic office are invited. The representatives will analysis the investment market of each countries. 

      Also, many entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia will share their successful experiences in this forum. For example, CEO of Malaysia's e-commerce platform 11 Street, will share the advantages and challenges of cross-border e-commerce; the founder of Malaysia's EasyStore Mr. Alan Kok will also give a speech on the topic of "Key Thinking of Advancing ASEAN E-commerce". The head of Taiwan’s travel e-commerce KKday in Malaysia will also share KKday’s journey of establishment in 2016, and how to successfully build a cross-national career. 

      Other guests such as the head of Greater China area of IBM, Chirs Chang, senior director general Hsieh of GoogleTaiwan, COO Wu of e-commerce service team of KPMG, general manager Peng of ESG Taiwan, partner accountant Lin of KPMG, deputy general manager Shi of Hua Nan Bank and director general Chen of TAITRA are invited.
