Observe trends of emerging markets and pave the way for Taiwan’s enterprises to enter into internati

Based on Mckinsey’s research, from year 2010 to year 2025, among the top 600 most vibrant cities in the world, up to 443 cities are located in emerging markets, contributing 47% to global economy. Adding other cities and rural areas unlisted in these 600 cities, emerging markets contribute as high as 74% to global economy growth. In other words, emerging markets’ cities will dominate the new businesses of global consumption.

In order to catch up with global trend and help Taiwan’s corporations become more competitive, the International Trade Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs and CDRI (Commerce Development Research Institute) are going to host the “2014 Forum of Best-in-class and Mid-tier Priced Businesses Emerging Markets” at the International Convention Center of National Taiwan University from Nov 13th to the 14th. We cordially invite all the professionals and practitioners from various industries, government agencies and research institutes to analyze their insights from first-hand and front-end observation, as well as future trends of emerging markets. In addition, we will also engage successful enterprises in emerging markets to share their experience, aiming at creating a platform for all attendees to exchange their ideas in theory and practice. Hopefully Taiwan will be able to branch out in this new wave of economic rise in a fast and steady pace that goes far.
