Commercial Development Research Institute (hereinafter, “CDRI”) has conducted a survey on the retirees at the age of over 50. The findings indicated that more than 65% of the interviewees are “happy retirees” while “health” and “interaction” seem to be the two critical factors affecting happiness. The analysis of Mr. Wu Si-Hao, the deputy director of CRDI, indicated that the health related market of Taiwan has already launched a wide array of services for the elderly. In responding to the needs of interactions, the “community network” and “business opportunity of keeping company” for the elderly will be the key product for the next wave.
