    CDRI Central Preparatory Office is Unveiled Today

    Taichung City Government and Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI) are aiming at boosting in upgrading the commerce service industry of Central Taiwan and enhancing its global competitiveness. Today (30th), we held the unveiled ceremony in Taichung, the ceremony was jointly hosted by Mayor of Taichung City, Chia-Lung Lin and Chairman of CDRI, Tain-Tsair Hsu. Together with Vice President of CDRI, Hwang-Jen Chang served as the director of the Central Preparatory Office to optimize commerce environment in Central Taiwan. 

    The establishment of the "CDRI Central Preparatory Office” was initiated by the Mayor of Taichung City, Chia-Lung Lin and Legislator, Yung-Ming Hsu, in order to introduce innovative energy to the industry in Central Taiwan. During mayor’s speech, he mentioned when he was running for mayor in 2005, he was confronted with the idea of ​​setting up a commerce development institute in Taichung City. Today, CDRI, a world-class think tank has stationed in Central Taiwan, he believes the future commerce affairs will surely be more sustainable. Looking ahead, Taichung Gateway Smart City also welcomes CDRI stationed, and continue to work closely with leading manufacturers from all walks of life. 

    Chairman Hsu of CDRI addressing in his speech that as of today is his first anniversary of his inauguration (2016/11/29-2017/11/29), first the South Branch has activated this August, then Taichung Preparatory Office begins today, officially honoring the commitment of setting up Central and South Branch since taking office, which will assist each local government to develop their own characteristics in line with global standards.  

    Taichung City Government said that the municipal government has actively assisted the establishment of "CDRI Central Preparatory Office," which can serve as a platform to connect local production with research, promote the development of the service industry, extend resources and services to the central regions to create high-quality, high value-added service industries, to innovate energy and integrate resources to speed up the knowledge-based service industry and jointly promote upgrading and restructuring of commerce services in Central Taiwan so as to enhance their overall competitiveness and economic development.
