To create a city where young people can work, start businesses, and live in their hometown, Kinmen County Government entrusts CDRI to undertake the Kinmen Youth Service. The launching ceremony was held this morning (14), the magistrate Fu-hai Chen invited the minister without portfolio of the Executive Yuan, Audrey Tang, the director general of SME Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Dr. Ming-Ji Wu, the president of the SME Credit Guarantee Fund Shan-yen HSIAO, and the local representatives and the young people. A press conference was held in the conference room of the Qionglin village Office of Jinmen County. Under the leadership of the county magistrate, the Kinmen Youth Service Platform was officially launched!
The magistrate Fu-hai Chen pointed out that young people have the enthusiasm, motivation, innovation and courage to challenge. The enthusiasm and hard work are the essential elements for the practice of dreams. It can be seen that youth is the key to national competitiveness and social development. Kinmen County Government understands the importance of youth to the country's society and the local community. Therefore, it actively promotes youth affairs. It is hoped that through the creativity and innovation of young people, combined with the unique geographical advantages and cultural characteristics of Kinmen, the local industry will be activated. This year, The Economic Affairs Department is launching the "Kinmen Youth Service Platform" which encourages young people to show their creativity and innovation and to start enterprises. Hopefully, this will attract more young people to Kinmen to display their talents and to do business.
The "Kinmen Youth Service Platform" is a youth entrepreneurial service platform jointly promoted by the Kinmen County Government and CDRI. The county government hopes to cooperate with the specialized think tanks of the service industry to connect Taiwan's main island and local Kinmen The entrepreneurial resources provide a better entrepreneurial mechanism for the Kinmen youth. In addition to providing services through a one-stop physical base, the Kinmen Youth Service Platform also provides services such as public consultation and appointment through virtual channels such as websites and online communities. Whether they are in Kinmen or Taiwan or even overseas, the platform can be used to strengthen their entrepreneurial knowledge and the practice of innovative entrepreneurship in Kinmen.
The director general of Commerce Development and Policy Research Division, CDRI Chao-Jen Huang pointed out that the purpose of Kinmen’s creative, innovation and entrepreneurship center is to create a joint innovation platform for the young people in Kinmen. The method is to connect the ecosystem, and related people, including the Kinmen County, the Executive Yuan, CDRI and the start-up youths for cross-industry and cross-border cooperation to input new ideas and solve entrepreneurial issues for the Kinmen youth. Also, to face the opportunities and challenges of the digital era, the Kinmen creative, innovation and entrepreneurship Center is a brainstorming exchange platform for young people in the region. Huang further explained that in the future, we could look forward to the establishment of several virtual online communities, break the geographical limitations of Kinmen, and exchange innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship for the Kinmen youth and the world and the mainland China.
The "Kinmen Youth Service Platform" not only has a professional team stationed in the service base, but also provides free consultation on entrepreneurial related issues, one-on-one customized diagnosis and counselling services, and offers free entrepreneurial creation space for people who are interested in starting a business. We will also hold entrepreneurship-related training activities on a regular basis to help young people improve their entrepreneurial knowledge and capabilities.
