    Water Resources Agency, MOEA participates in Aqua Taiwan Exhibition, broad market potential observed for high-end water treatment solutions

       CDRI is  commissioned by the Water Resources Agency, MOEA  to implement the “Environmental Cultivation and Market Promotion Plan for Smart Water and Reclaimed Water Industry Development”. The "Aqua Taiwan Exhibition" was held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Hall on August 29th. More than 120 domestic and foreign manufacturers participated in the exhibition, with 210 booths. Despite the bad weather, numerous visitors and foreign buyers can be seen on the spot on the day of launching, showing the high vitality of domestic water conservancy industry manufacturers, as well as the continued growth trend of related markets and substantial business opportunities.

      The Water Resources Agency, MOEA had participated three years in a row, the exhibition this year has made essential contributions to the development of water conservancy industry. The “Reclaimed Water Industry Zone” is planned and the equipment on display is also abundant. With the theme poster illustrating a series of the reclaimed water promotion master plan, the latest energy-saving water recycling equipment such as membrane distillation and catalytic deionization are also displayed; these facilities can reduce by 50% of the commercial power usage compared with the existing commercial desalination units (such as reverse osmosis membrane) currently applied. Construction results of relevant policies promoted by the Water Resources Agency and a series of solutions for high-end water treatment technologies can be seen in the exhibition.

       During the exhibition, the forum for “The Potential of the Energy of Water” was held which attracted a lot of audiences. The Vice President Champion Wang of CDRI, Dr. Fan of Allied Industrial corp., LTD., Secretary-General Chu of SCEDA, Chairman Wang of Angel Start-up Investment and other experts and scholars are invited to the forum to give a speech and to host the comprehensive discussion.

      Vice President Champion Wang of CDRI who arranged the exhibition said that Taiwan's has a complete water industry chain, and with the emerging demand for Taiwan's reclaimed water, a series of solutions for high-end water regeneration in the factory have been developed further for the integration of the IoT. The advantages of the IoT, as well as the newly developed energy-saving reclaimed water equipment, will add value to the water industry supply chain, combine foreign business alliances, and cooperate with Taiwanese companies to enter Southeast Asia and other overseas markets for more business opportunities.
