    Director-General Lai of Water Resources Agency, MOEA Led Delegation to the UK for business opportunities

      The Director-General Lai of the Water Resources Agency, MOEA led the Taiwanese delegation to London to participate in the "2019 Taiwan-UK Smart Water Resources Management and Technology Conference", which handled by the Water Resources Agency on April 9th. This trip is arranged for domestic and UK operators for joint research and development of water resources management, and to promote the cooperation of Taiwanese manufacturers in marketing, technology development and investment.

      Taiwan's water industry value chain is integrated, and many new technologies and service models are emerging. Such as IoT, ICT and AI in the traditional water industry will develop the value-added smart water management industry and form a solution for the overall model. In addition to improving the efficiency of water resource management, new demands for the water industry has been created, and can further integrate Taiwan’s advantages in the Internet of Things to add value to the water industry supply chain, coupled with active overseas marketing, allowing Taiwan to take up a place in the international water market.

      In order to assist domestic business owners in exploring the international market of water conservancy industry, the Water Resources Agency, MOEA has specially invited some smart water management units with strong technical ability to form a solution team. The team is formed by AnaSystem, AgriWeather, AnCAD, Fenri, Thinktron and Sinotech. Through this forum, we can conduct technical exchanges with water conservancy practitioners and experts in the UK, and promote business opportunities to deepen cooperation between Taiwan and Britain in the smart water management industry. The UK also has several companies that are well versed in atmospheric and hydrological data analysis, including Weather Logistics, Poseidon Analytics, CEH, and EMS. They are highly interested in sensors and methods of maintaining the quality of data transmission.
