Positioning and Development

The center aims to enhance international competitiveness by linking internal core capabilities, external resources, and demands to provide international solutions to the Service Industry. It aims to expand the international service business of the CDRI to promote research and application for the international development of the Commercial Service Industry and elevate CDRI to a world-class (service development) think tank.

Goals

l   Forward-looking international collaborative research and development: Leverage international research and development capabilities, establish medium and long-term strategic partnerships with leading international academic and research institutions, promote cross-border R&D projects, and deepen links and interactions with international partners.

l    Cultivate international bilateral cooperation: Integrate resources to develop international cooperation, use bilateral and multilateral government policy subsidies, participate in global international activities to develop relevant digital economic and trade information standards, and develop international cooperation business.

l   Expand pragmatic diplomacy among think tanks: Use the soft skills of digital economy, trade, and sustainable development think tanks to assist our country in expanding its diplomacy and assist the government in joining influential international organizations.

Achievement

l     Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NPO Japanese EC Promotion Organization for Travel, Tourism and Leisure, JTREC in 2023.

l    Participated in the official program and expert working group of the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT), and cooperated with multiple sector experts from Japan, India, the Netherlands, and other countries to participate in the UN/CEFACT Sustainable Tourism Business Standard White Paper Project, jointly completing the first edition of the white paper.

l   Participated in the United Nations Team of Specialists (ToS) on ESG meeting on October 6, 2022, and attended the 28th UN/CEFACT conference on October 10, 2022, and was recognized as a permanent observer for the UN/CEFACT ToS on ESG. the achievements (in economic and trade diplomacy) were shared with the public, including 1 TV report, 45 reports in both print and electronic media, with a total of 46 news exposures, using the soft skills of think tank to assist the government in expanding diplomacy.
