Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI) held a seminar on 14th regarding E-commerce towards new southbound policy at Sun Yet-Sen Memorial Hall: inviting academics, four large-scale industry platform businesses, and hundreds of overseas Chinese students. Gaming, beauty, network et cetera keywords resonance and climax, created close to life and consumption of E-commerce issues, pulled the platform and the new forces of overseas Chinese students together; gathered Taiwan's business and overseas Chinese talents, heading towards new southbound policy.
The seminar was organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, organized by CDRI and Jiang-Hua Education Foundation. There were 24 colleges and universities in participation, many central and southern students showed strong interests and rushed to event right after their mid-term exams. CDRI researcher Edison Chen, specializes in the development trend of ASEAN, as well as E-commerce and online community operation. We can see that E-commerce is extremely close to life, across all ages, business opportunities, is a major groundbreaking to southbound market. Researcher Edison Chen referenced himself studying abroad years in the United States from entrepreneurship, gaming and other experiences to encourage overseas studying abroad students to have bold attempt, not afraid of mistakes because under most of the failed innovation, there’s always aliveness.
One new southbound policy is to let the ASEAN to become the driving force for the development of E-commerce in Taiwan. Ministry of Economic Affairs counseling business platform locally to cross-border cooperation, nurture excellent local and local talent, the energy in series into a competitive E-business platform, cross-border human resources working together to drive the benefits of Taiwan's brand in exportation, and comprehensively strengthen the export momentum to create a win-win situation. Deputy Director General Dr. Fan-Chan Tai in her speech have asked everyone to speak up and ask anything – southbound future rely on the hands of our overseas Chinese students.
From this talk, the response and feedback of this lecture, the life of the E-commerce industry, the accessibility, the creativity can be seen in almost everywhere.
