Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI), on 18th today, has inaugurated Hwang-Jen Chang as Vice President of the Southern Branch CDRI, the ceremony held in Kaohsiung, in the witness of participating guests and advanced industry mentors, Hwang-Jen Chang has officially received the appointment letter from Chairman Tain-Tsair Hsu and begun promoting the regional commercial service industry in Southern Taiwan.
Tain-Tsair Hsu, Chairman of the speech, said Chang was a diligent civil servant during her service in Taichung, Tainan and Yunlin with other areas of public service experience for many years. This time, appointing her as Vice President of Southern Branch CDRI, owning to her positivity and activist, her profession in environmental protection and communication talents with all industry business sectors. Tain-Tsair Hsu, Chairman of the Board, further stated that the proportion of service industry has accounted for nearly 6% of GDP, employment of more than 660 million people, the employment share of nearly 60%, is an important industry in Taiwan, with the proportion of the overall service industry in the south less than 47%, compared with 63% of the overall service sector, the difference between the two is of 16%, so in line with the government promoting high-quality services, CDRI has set the focus of the establishment of the southern branch in two, the first is implementing the business development division of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, “Regional Trade Development Plan for Business Services”, among which the four sub-projects are:
a. In line with the Ministry of Economic Affairs policy instructions set up branches in the south (expected to officially unveiled before 20th of May)
b. To build the basic information and development strategy of the southern commercial service industry
c. Continuously promote the southern business services alliance
d. Southern business services upgrade and transformation
