    Exploring newly developed Asian markets, an MOU was signed between Taiwanese and Korean business thi

    The Commerce Development Research Institute (referred as CDRI in the following) and the Korea Institute for Industrial, Economics & Trade (KIET) signed an MOU today. Hsieh Lung-Far, the Director of CDRI expressed that in the future CDRI will continue to establish international exchange and interaction, and spread the results of cooperation to businesses.

    Hsieh Lung-Far pointed out that, in order to promote exchange and interaction with international think tanks, CDRI visited four think tanks and academic institutes in Korea earlier this year, and had laid the foundation for preliminary exchange between the think tanks in Taiwan and Korea. In addition, during its visit, they exchanged ideas on the current conditions of and the lasts trend in the development for businesses and the service industry. They suggested that due to the difference in “business structures” the business and service industry in both countries have developed in totally different routes.

    Director Hsieh continued this year is the 40th anniversary of KIET of Korea. Since beginning operation in 2009, CDRI is only 9 years old, and is ranked as a “new star.” It is believed that, in the future, there will be many opportunities for mutual cooperation, including: 1. Conducting joint research projects or invite each other to participate in conferences; 2. Conducting mutual exchange regarding the specialty of each party; 3. Visits of researchers from both parties; and 4. Assisting in recommending and expanding local connections.
