CDRI general retail store supervisor occupational competency press conference. Create a four-win sit

CDRI has undertaken the “General retail store supervisor and regional supervisor occupational competency standard” project from the Department of Commerce, MOEA. In addition to the essential hands-on ability of the past, store managers of today must also contemplate about shopping districts products and financial statements as well. The competency standard can be used as a benchmark for training retail talents in the future, and it allows jobseekers to prepare in advance. As a result, recruitment will become more efficient, in turn improving the industries in Taiwan and creating the four-win situation.

CDRI established the “General retail store supervisor and regional supervisor occupational competency standard” and held the press conference on the 12th. Deputy Director General of the Department of Commerce, MOEA Chen Mi-shun, Secretary General of the Association of Chain and Franchise Promotion, Taiwan Liu Ying-ting and CDRI President Hsieh Lung-far also attended the event. Outstanding store managers were also invited to share their experience. According to Deputy Director General Chen, occupational competency standard (OCS) is just like the technician system of the past, where one’s skills are certified to make recruitment more accurate and it is a way to improve one’s ability, raise one’s salary. Consequently, the standard aims to facilitate “talent selection”, “talent cultivation” and “talent application”.

President Hsieh Lung-far suggested that general retail constitutes the majority of the retail industry. In the past, the store manager OCS was not yet defined, therefore they remained in the “hands on” stage. However, OCS can also facilitate shopping district customer management and reinforce competitive strategy, hence it is hoped that it will enhance the overall service industry and the living standard of citizens in Taiwan.
