    Hsieh Lung-far assumes post as the President of CDRI – Promulgation ceremony was held

    CDRI board of directors passed the resolution to engage the service of the Vice President of Da-Yeh University Hsieh Lung-far to assume the post as the President of CDRI, effective from August. On the 3rd, the President promulgation ceremony was held, hoping to capitalize on President Hsieh Lung-far’s wealth of management experience and skills he has accumulated in academia and business in order to foster the steady growth of CDRI. In turn, the objective is to materialize Chairman Hsu Chung-jen’s philosophy of “Research orientation with emphasis on development”, thereby increasing the country’s international competitive edge and provide new impetus for the government and the private sector. Ultimately, the aim is to transform and upgrade Taiwan’s service industry and set another important milestone.

    Representatives from the industry, government, academia and research institutions attended the promulgation ceremony of CDRI’s President. According to Chairman Shih Yen-hsiang of Sinotech Engineering Consultants, on the road to economic development, Taiwan must also pay attention to service marketing, production and manufacturing.

    Chairman Hsu Chung-jen pointed out that CDRI doe not only engage in research, development is also very important. Consequently, through the collective power of the industry, government and academia, the joint taskforce will be launched to the overseas markets.

    According to President Hsieh Lung-far, CDRI plays the role of a research-oriented think tank that transfers knowledge to commercial development. At the same time, it also plays a development-driven role that strives to boost the export industry via the joint taskforce approach.

    President Hsieh Lung-far has a Ph.D. from the Department of Business Administration, NCCU and Master’s degree from the Department of Management Science, NCTU. He is the former Vice President, Dean of Management College and Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Da-Yeh University. He was also a Professor in the Department of Business Administration at CYCU. In the past, he also served as the President and Associate Professor of MCUT. In addition to experience in academia, President Hsieh Lung-far also served in the business sector, including positions such as the President of Long Bon International Co., Ltd., Director of First Bank and Independent Director of Vedan International, demonstrating comprehensive resume.
