    Hakka vs. Hakka Business Development Program. Success of the 2nd Hakka People Business Incubation Pr

    The Hakka Affairs Council has successfully held a program for the development of business creativity and management knowledge for young Hakka People to train good people. On June 25 2015 (Thursday), the “Graduation Ceremony of the 2nd Hakka People Business Incubation Program for the Development of Business Creativity and Management Knowledge” was held at National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology. Deputy Director-General of Hakka Affairs Council, Fan Chuo-Ming; President of National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, Chen Chun-Yuan; Acting President of the Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI), Wu Shi-Hao, and department head of CDRI, Wang Chien-Shan, jointly invited the representatives from industry and Ta Hwa University of Science and Technology, National United University, and National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology. A documentary footage showing the classroom training of the participants was played as a review of the program.

    Acting President Wu Shi-Hao addressed the ceremony and mentioned that the “Hakka Industry Creativity Incubation Program” was commissioned by Hakka Affairs Council and organized by CDRI, and was held in 5 major regions of Taiwan for 5 tiers. With the effect of all, the 1st tier of the program has been successfully launched with all participants receiving 162 hours of training. In the 3-month program, the tutors and the industry gurus helped to integrate theories and practices in business operation so that the participants of the program can learn a complete set of knowledge in theories and practices of creating a new business.

    According to Acting President Wu Shi-Hao, the participants of the program will receive assistance from professionals in their course of business venture with 9 free consulting sessions from professional consultants under the arrangement of CDRI. They may also have the chance of engagement in cooperative programs with the schools for sharing their advantages in research and development and technology transfer. In addition, there will be a fund amounting up to NT$4 million as working capital available to these participants of the program. The schools can assist the people in business venture to upgrade their technology prowess and assess the capacity in applying for patents that will make technology transfer possible. This will help to intensify the strength of business venture. He encouraged the young people participating in the program to use what they learned and make it a success in different areas of business featuring Hakka culture.
