In order to advance entrepreneurship skills and managerial knowledge of the youth in Hakka areas, the Hakka Affairs Council organized Hakka Youth Talents training courses, and on June 18 (Thursday) held “The Training Program on Innovation and Incubation of the Hakka Industry-Joint Completion Ceremony for the 1st Term of Talent Training Courses.” Deputy Director of the Hakka Affairs Council, Mr. Chen Rui-Jung, and President of Commerce Development Research Institute, the executive organization, Mr. Wang Chian-Bin invited universities of industry-academia alliance including Chung Yuan Christian University, National Chung Hsing University, and National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology. A film was presented for the views of trainees about their course attendance as well to witness the support given to the youth by the Council of Hakka Affairs to demonstrate the spirit of Hakka featured industries. Trainees are expected to put what they have learned in the start-ups (employment).

As encouraged by President Wang Chian-Bin, although the training courses are now completed, Commerce Development Research Institute will still work with everyone. For start-ups, the Institute arranges advisors and mentors of various fields to give more than nine rounds of free and professional counselling until trainees officially start their own businesses. In the future, if start-up products or services have the potential, the advisors and mentors will assist them to work with incubators at colleges and universities for the industry-academia cooperation to further utilize the advantages of colleges and universities on R&D and technology transfer and to apply for the maximum NT$4 million start-up fund. For colleges and universities, they can assist the start-ups to improve technology as well as assist them to evaluate the feasibility of patent application and technology transfer to maximize start-up energy.
