    Deputy Director of Department of Commerce under Ministry of Economic Affairs Mr. Chen encouraged private sectors to understand more about consumer behaviors and international business momentum in the “Final Presentation for 2014 Business Development Plan and Research for Service Industry” on Nov 19th in order to grasp the opportunities of the new wave of growth and development in service industry. This convention was coordinated by Commerce Development Research Institute. A total of 300+ representatives from various industries participated the meeting and discussed the prospect and future of service industry.

    Mr. Chen explained during the convention that Taiwan’s service industry has grown consistently, accounting for nearly 70% of real GDP, employing almost 60% of the labor force. Now the Taiwanese people can strongly sense the multi-cultural heritage accumulated for several decades, exquisite quality of life, high caliber talents, and strong momentum and energy from all types of new services, bringing surprises and new experiences to everyone. The changes made by service industry has permeated in all aspects of life and impacted our everyday life. We are witnessing the innovative trends and changes brought about by service industry in Taiwan every single day!
