    International forum for health promotion industry was held today for the Southbound market

      Modern people pursue a life style with healthcare and health management, that is why the healthcare service is becoming one of the most promising emerging industry. Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA and CDRI held the fourth International Forum for Health Promotion Industry today in order to accelerate the information exchanging of the domestic corporations and foreign markets. The forum was held in the NTUH International Convention Center this morning, many experts from the Southeast Asia were invited to share their knowledge of the field.

     Golden Gate Ventures co-founder Jeffrey Paine, Mr. Ching-Tse Tseng, the founder of Vault Dragon, Mr. Chuan-Sheng Huang, the CEO of Ma Kuang Healthcare Group, and other guests shared their experiences and the trend and development of the global healthcare industry, with prediction of the future of Southeast Asia’s healthcare industry, providing a new business model for companies to create their own strategies.

      The Director General of Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA, Mr. Jang-Hwa Leu pointed out that Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwanese experts are invited as the models of healthcare  industry leader. By sharing the innovative business models, information exchanging, and bringing new ideas to related corporations will help our people in the industry to stand in the Southbound market.

     Chairman Hsu of CDRI brought up the idea of “Health in All Policies” which was demanded by WHO, which is to appeal governments to take health in consideration when making policies in all aspects such as environmental conservation, economy and society. With the pioneers of well-known Taiwanese brands which successfully enter the international markets as examples, we may learn from them and work together, collect our resources and copy the successful business models.

        Health promotion will be a key in Taiwan’s future development, it is also a global emerging industry. industrial Development Bureau, MOEA has been doing research on “Health Management”, “Healthy Diet”, “Exercising”, and “Mental Health”. With the consultancy of corporation and IT technology to assist domestic companies to develop cross-field integration business model and to connect with foreign market.
     
      In 2017, the total turnover of the health promotion service industry in Taiwan was approximately NT$104.9 billion, which is expected to grow by an average of 5.8% over the next three years under the continuous development of the industrial policies. In the future, Industrial Development Bureau will also continue to strive to promote long-term cooperation between domestic companies and the Southbound countries, and assist domestic companies to successfully enter Southeast Asian market.
