CDRI is commissioned by Water Resources Agency, MOEA for the implementation of the " Environmental Cultivation and Market Promotion Plan for Smart Water and Reclaimed Water Industry Development Project". The three-day "2018 Taipei International Water Environment Summit and Industry Exhibition" has been held in the warehouse No. 2 and No. 3 of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park from 30th August, attracting buyers from more than 17 countries and more than 500 professional scholars. Benefiting from the vigorous development of modern technologies such as IoT, big data, cloud computing management, and telematics, the traditional water industry is striving for transformation and innovation.
In view of this, the Water Resources Agency, MOEA promoted the practical use of water resources and the sustainable operation of the water industry. "Smart Water Management" is the main axis of this exhibition. CDRI designed the "Smart Flood Control" , "Smart Irrigation", "Smart Groundwater" and "Smart Reservoir" four themes, covering intelligent water conditions and management decision-making systems, automatic precision irrigation systems with regulated water discharge, groundwater level monitoring equipment, and reservoirs data transmitted to the cloud through the IoT and so on, to show the output of the series of scientific and technological projects that has been executed by Water Resources Agency. In addition to providing management units with reference to water source dispatching, flood control operations and reservoir safety, the Water ResourcesAgency has also actively cooperated with private resources and local governments to create a more sustainable vision for the livability of Taiwan.
In addition, during the exhibition, the Water Resources Agency held the "Water 4.0 - Digital Water Innovation Model" forum on the morning of the 31st in the north side hall of the on the 2nd floor of Songyan Cultural and Creative Park. The project was organized by Director Chang of the Water Resources Agency and hosted by Vice President Champion Wang of CDRI . General Manager Wu of Advantech Co., Ltd., General Manager Wu of Forest Water Environmental Eng’g Co., Ltd., and Director Cheng of GSD Industrial Co., Ltd. Are invited to discuss the smart water-related issues. Through successful business models, the market value for competitive water conservancy technologies will be created, and the implementation of the models will create diversified effects by communication, and to enhance the information exchanging of the industry.
